Research projects of Rasmus Waagepetersen
My main research interests are spatial statistics, image analysis and Markov
chain Monte Carlo. I have also some interest in generalized linear mixed
models. Currently I am especially interested in socalled MALA algorithms
for simulation of posterior distributions in Bayesian analysis of spatial
generalized linear mixed models (see also the paper on log Gaussian Cox
processes on my list of publications
) Together with Ole F. Christensen and Jesper Møller, Aalborg
University I will soon finish a manuscript "Analysis of spatial
data using generalized linear mixed models and Langevin-type Markov
chain Monte Carlo".
A paper (see list
of publications ) on non- and semi-parametric analysis of interaction
in inhomogeneous point patterns has recently been accepted for
publication in Statistica Neerlandica. Markov chain Monte Carlo is used in this
paper to carry out the calculations for the semi-parametric inference.
My Ph.D.-thesis contains a number of papers and research reports on
prior models in Bayesian image analysis and related issues (see the
list of publications ). It also contains
work on spatial Cox processes driven by a log Gaussian intensity surface.
